Session:  Loving People of Gender and Sexual Minorities.    

How do we begin to navigate the topic of gender and sexual identity in a way that is accessible, compassionate and loving?  How can I show love and acceptance when my faith understanding/perspective disagrees with another’s belief, experience and position about gender and sexuality.  What does it look like to embody the love of Christ towards sexual and gender minorities? Join us as we unpack these questions and discuss how to build relationship and love people well, who are part of the LGBT+ community.   

Bio: Graeme Lauber

Graeme is dedicated to encouraging individuals of all ages to connect with Jesus in ways that are authentic and richly sustaining, particularly in the areas of identity, relationships and sexuality. He is the editor and lead author of a book on spirituality, Courage for the Forward Path. He and his wife of 25 years have three young adult children. He currently serves as the communications director at Center Street Church. Drawing on personal and ministry experience, Graeme will help provide some helpful pointers on ministry to those who experience same-sex attraction in a way that is helpful and gracious.
