Jordan is a Certified Professional Counsellor and offers both counselling and spiritual direction through the Right Hand Support program and within a private practice. Jordan holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta and an M.A. in Counselling from Providence University College and Theological Seminary as well as a post-graduate Certificate in Christian Spirituality.
Jordan has professional training and education in trauma-informed counselling, the neurosequential model, Gottman couples counselling, grief counselling, PTSD, anxiety disorders and identity formation. Most recently, Jordan served as the Right Hand Support Counseling Lead, counselling, teaching and developing curriculum in trauma informed care and practices. Jordan retired from the University of Calgary in 2018 after 26 years.
Jordan has had the great privilege and opportunity to participate in mission/volunteer work in Rwanda on three separate occasions which has had a big impact on her understanding and experience of trauma and suffering and most recently volunteered in South Africa as team lead in trauma training. Jordan is currently serving as a Director on the National Board for the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors as well as serving as PACCP AB West Member Care Coordinator over a 5 year period and served as a Board Director of Hands and Feet International.
