Robin is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with a Masters of Counselling, 2011. Prior to obtaining a Masters degree, Robin held the position of Volunteer Advocate for Cochrane and Area Victim Services and the Coordinator for Cochrane and Area Victim Services. Post Graduate, Robin was a Theraplay trained therapist for Calgary Family Services (Carya) and worked in-home with biological families who had attachment (bonding) issues with their children. This was followed by a Community Counsellor position for Sonshine Community Services, (specializing in domestic violence and trauma), and to the position as Director of Children’s Services at Sonshine where she designed and implemented the first Children’s Centre for developing and traumatized children. In 2016, Robin became the Cochrane and Area Domestic Violence Treatment Program Lead providing individual counselling and overseeing of DV groups and served as Lead for the Right Hand Support program.
