Tim Sawatsky is a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate with the Canadian Professional Counselors Association and has been a Pastor for 10 years with experience counselling individuals and families through life’s challenges. He holds a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling specializing in Professional Counselling. Tim has worked with high school youth with behaviour and learning challenges, been an educational director and led teams in Canada and overseas for a non-profit organization. Currently, he runs a private counselling practice with his wife Melissa called Foundations Counselling which they started in 2023 and is also on staff with Right Hand Support.
Tim provides tailored services for adults and couples, with expertise spanning relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, anxiety, domestic violence, trauma-informed care and depression. His strengths-based and person-centred approach is dynamic and personalized, drawing from cognitive-behavioural, interpersonal, and solution-focused therapies to meet each client's unique needs. With a background in pastoral care, he can also offer discussions on faith and spirituality in his counselling sessions.
